Corrective bodywork. Manual therapy is intended to alleviate symptoms related to misalignment. This type of therapy uses manual techniques derived from Structural Integration but applies them locally. These techniques promote useful changes in fascia that has become “stuck” or “fuzzy.”  With Corrective Bodywork the intent is to build on your strengths and gently guide you toward more alignment in areas where you struggle.  Movement reeducation, cues to enhance your kinesthetic awareness and fill in your body image are an essential part of the work.  This restorative work is applied while you are lying, (usually supine)sitting on a bench, standing or walking. Sessions last 50 minutes, 80 minutes, or 110 minutes.

Movement training. There are places in the body that need structure, weight, and stability.  On the other hand, there are places in the body that need flow, s p a c e, and mobility. To be “pliable” we need to balance these opposites to create suppleness and adaptable strength. Lack of movement in our daily lives threatens our kinesthetic health and leads to sickness or injury. Linear and mindless movement in the gym or “fun” group training sessions do not contribute to pliability. To be pliable we need to engage in playful vector-variant movement, and also we need to do this with intention.  Mindful and vector-variant training are present in dance, but, are not just for dancers. Everyone can benefit from this kind of movement training!
